Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Richard Sparrow earned his bachelor's degree in music education from Columbus State University and has a master's degree in Performance from the University of South Florida. He became a member of The Florida Orchestra in 1984 where he still performs in the Horn section.
He is currently on faculty at Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV, Hillsborough Community College, and Florida Southern College.
